Four Glories Ecological Strategy

The challenge
A major restoration of four historic structures within the Stowe Landscape Gardens required a robust ecological baseline and BNG strategy, supporting their ambition for High Nature Status.
Our solution
We completed a site-wide PEA and UKHab survey, made targeted recommendations for habitat and species diversity, and mapped biodiversity corridors. We developed a Habitat Opportunities and Constraints Plan and an overarching BNG Strategy, including the “Bourbon Tower – thriving ecosystem” concept with nesting, roosting, and interactive visitor features.
Outcome
Our comprehensive approach is helping to secure a vibrant, ecologically resilient future for the estate while celebrating its heritage.
