Burton Reid was commissioned by the Land Society CIC to undertake an assessment of a site in Broadhempston, Devon in relation to a proposed development of six self-build homes. One major limiting factor for the progression of the project was a previously identified population of great crested newts within the locality of the site. From the word go we provided a solution for the client so that the project could move forward. We undertook our own assessment of potential impacts on site, and provided a robust and detailed mitigation strategy agreed by the Local Authority. This enabled works to progress expediently and affordably.
