Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems (SuDS).

Assisting on the design of flood retention ponds and swales, soft and hard landscape proposals, management, and maintenance. We provide creative design to achieve a naturalistic appearance whilst meeting engineering requirements. We can take an engineer’s functional flood storage plan or cross-sectional capacity cross design and through a combination of adjustments to bank gradient and retention structures seek integration into the landscape. We also provide soft landscape and habitat creation solutions to enrich the environment of retention ponds, swales, and ditches.

Flood Protection and Alleviation.

Advising on channel and bank modifications, selection of appropriate surface finishes and copings on flood wall, embankment profiles and finishes and alignments, soft and hard landscape proposals including habitat creation, management, and maintenance. Experience of rural and urban settings and in sensitive heritage areas.

Watercoures

Assisting on River Restoration projects with design of in-channel soft and hard river restoration schemes, soft landscape proposals and management and maintenance. Experience of working alongside geomorphologists.

Waterbodies and Coastal

Design or advising on the design of ponds and lakes including land modelling and cut and fill and assisting on hard engineering coastal defence systems such as sea and harbour walls.
